I am a third-year DPhil (PhD) student in Philosophy at the University of Oxford (Jesus College).
My research focuses on ancient Graeco-Roman Stoic philosophy and classical Indian Buddhist philosophy, especially Madhyamaka. In particular, I am interested in the relationship of epistemology and metaphysics to ethics in these philosophical traditions. My doctoral thesis explores how the Stoics and Madhyāmikas conceptualise overcoming ignorance as the cornerstone of ethical progress. I also have a particular interest in ancient theories of emotion.
Related to my interests in comparative philosophy, I am president of Philiminality Oxford, a student-run platform for cross-cultural and interdisciplinary philosophy, and the Graduate Assistant for the Oxford Network for Ancient Philosophy.
