I am a fourth-year DPhil (PhD) student in Philosophy at the University of Oxford (Jesus College) and a Stipendiary Lecturer in Philosophy at Brasenose College.
My research focuses on ancient Graeco-Roman Stoic philosophy and classical Indian Buddhist philosophy, especially Madhyamaka. My doctoral thesis explores how the Stoics and Madhyāmikas conceptualise overcoming ignorance as the cornerstone of ethical progress. I also have a particular interest in ancient theories of emotion.
Related to my interests in comparative philosophy, I am president of Philiminality Oxford, a student-run platform for cross-cultural and interdisciplinary philosophy, the Graduate Assistant for the Oxford Network for Ancient Philosophy and a member of the Intercultural Philosophy Association Steering Committee.
